4th CROATIAN CONGRESS OF GERONTOLOGY AND GERIATRICS

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Croatian Society for Gerontology and Geriatrics, the Referral Center for Health Care of the Elderly “Dr
Andrija Štampar“ and the Steering Committe for Geriatrics of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia we invite you
to join the 4th CROATIAN CONGRESS OF GERONTOLOGY AND GERIATRICS which will be held in Pula, Croatia from
September 29 to October 1 2023.

As in most European countries, we are facing the increasing demand for quality health care services for the growing elderly
population so our health care system needs to reshape towards a more integrated care approach. This journey involves
many professions – from community to primary and secondary care and institutions – who need to align their practices to a
personalized and holistic care approach. Raising awareness about the added value of specialized geriatric care and geriatric
literacy among health care professionals is one of the ways of achieving this goal.

On behalf of the organizers, we invite different professionals, scholars, policy makers, and companies to explore questions of
various modalities of joined care for the elderly population. This is a unique opportunity to interact with colleagues about
current trends, innovations, challenges and existing solutions in the field of gerontology and geriatrics through various forms
of education, from symposia, round tables, workshops, meet-the-expert sessions to plenary lectures.
We are looking forward to hosting you in the beautiful ancient city of Pula to explore the paths towards new opportunities.
